Soroptimist means ‘best for women’ and that’s what we strive to be –- an organization of women at their best helping other women to be their best. Serving the Oak Harbor community for over 35 years, we are part of the world’s largest service organization of dedicated professional women who are recognized in our communities as enthusiastic leaders and visionaries.
Throughout history, as well as today, women around the world have faced obstacles solely because of their gender. They disproportionally suffer from poverty and discrimination. It’s for this reason that Soroptimist clubs worldwide choose to focus on the unique challenges facing women and girls.
